Kirsty and Ivy
It was the constant shuffling under my hammock that woke me. I stared over at my sister, Ivy, but all I could see was the slim silver sliver of moonlight streaming down onto her tangled black hair, giving it a blueish sheen.
"Ivy...." I whispered as loud as I dared. She groaned in her sleep and rolled onto her side, her arm hanging over the edge of her hammock, which was directly oppposite mine.
"Whaa.. ya... wan?" She mumbled.
"WAKE UP...!" I hissed. With the movement, the moolight rested on Ivy's hanging arm. Whatever was below me started growling. I hit Ivy's arm and it flew up towards her and hit her in the head.
There's nothing worse than being woken up at 2'O clock in the morning by hitting yourself in the face. I sat bolt upright. "Ok what do you want? I do..." I trailed off.
"What?" Kirsty asked.
"There is a wolf under your hammock and had blood around its mouth!" I said." Don't worry. Stay still."
"WHAT!!! You expect me to stay calm when there is a man-eating wolf under my bed!!!" She cried.
"Hammock." I corrected.
"Do I look as if I care?!?"
"You should do. It's looking at you."
"What!"
"It's look-
"I heard what you said!"
"Okay, okay, but be quiet!"
"No, I can talk when I want; I can sleep when I-" I screamed a something jogged my hammock. A wet nose buried itself into my hair. I jumped instantly over on to Ivy's bed but she just reaches under her pillow and pulls out her knife-her best fighting weapon. She held it in front of us. I looked over at my bow and arrow that was on the floor.
"Don't!" Ivy said as if reading my thoughts. "Leave it alone!"
"It's trying to KILL me!" I stressed.
"Don't kill it! DON'T!" Ivy almost begs.
"You're the one with the knife!"
"And?!" I yell. What does that prove? I'mdefending myself, what's your problem?!"
"My problem is you!" My sister replies.
"look we need to think about this - mabe its hungry?"
"Er...No dont be silly"
The wolf started eating the meat from the fridge.
"Really?" I asked "Really?"
"So what....What are we gunna dooooo?"
"Get out of here, that's what!" I jumpdown from my hammock to the screaming of Ivy. I grabbed my bow and arrows and hopped out the door. I waited outside. Where was she? What's taking so long? She's still alive, isn't she?
"IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIVYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!! I scream. My twin isgone. There's no reply. Only the slobbering of a dog-like creature. I unlock the door. Scared of what I might see, I peep around the door, my eyes closed. I open them slowly. Ivy's there. Stroking it, feeding it!!!
"Ivy!"
"Yeah?"
"What're youdoing?"
"Stroking and feeding our dog."
"Our... dog...?"
"Yeah! Y'know that dog Dad bought us last year, that ran away? Here she is! It's Floof!"
